Casting Calls

Sophia posts all casting calls she is currently working on here for those who like to be in direct contact with the casting director when auditioning. Sophia likes to help actors in any way she can. Actors can send in self-tapes or scenes to Sophia for feedback before submitting them.

Please follow self-tape instructions for any video submissions. All sides can be found connected to each character within their respective project. Have those filmed and ready to upload when submitting your information. Please respect the deadline.

Title: Spinning

Logline: When Jackie, a 15 year old firecracker, finds her best friend and platonic soulmate, Audrey, no longer able to take care of Jackie or herself, She takes matters into her own hands to make sure she doesn’t lose Audrey forever.

Location: Savannah, GA

A scrappy, sunburnt 15-year-old with a fierce stare and a bleeding heart. She is hardened by her family’s absence and the gossip of cruel peers. She's sharp-tongued and unafraid to throw a punch, but her toughness is mostly armor. Jackie’s world is small, but her emotional depth is huge—she aches for connection, clings to loyalty, and quietly dreams of something better.

A whip-smart, big-hearted woman with a rebellious streak and a maternal soul, Audrey is the kind of person who’s lived a lot in a short time. She drives an ice cream truck but has the attitude of someone who could’ve fronted a punk band in

another life. With her sarcastic warmth, Audrey is both a caretaker and a fighter. She's fiercely protective of Jackie -more big sister than friend, more mother than mentor — and their bond is the truest thing in Audrey’s life. She hides her own

struggles behind humor and tough talk, but beneath the cool exterior is a woman barely holding it together.

Title: Sherlock Holmes: Vampire Hunter

Logline: Another Sherlock Holmes case opened, this time involving more of a supernatural twist. Despite it all Sherlock remains unfazed and leans on Watson to help pull the pieces together.

The infamous British detective, Sherlock Holmes, is every bit as brilliant and enigmatic as his reputation suggests. Always one step ahead, he lives as if he's thirty minutes in the future. While elusive, Sherlock possesses a disarming charm and approaches each case like a game. By this point in his career, he is well-established, respected, and fully confident in his abilities. He is cunning, clever, arrogant, and effortlessly charismatic. Actors should draw inspiration from Robert Downey Jr.’s portrayal in Sherlock Holmes (2009), while also honoring the character’s mysterious and calculated nature.

Note: British- London Accent required. Height requirement of 6ft or above. This role requires the use of SFX makeup- Please note any allergies. Sherlock will be involved in a fight and a qualified stunt coordinator will be present on set. Sherlock is shown drinking port, no alcohol will be present on set and will be simulated.

There is no Holmes without Watson. A former soldier and medic, John Watson now resides in London. His time as Sherlock’s flatmate has led to countless adventures and a lifelong bond. Currently, he lives with his wife, Mary, and continues to balance his medical practice with his ongoing escapades alongside Sherlock. Watson is kind, sarcastic, and a bit superstitious. He walks with a cane due to an old war injury. While Sherlock is the brains, Watson is the heart. Actors should primarily take inspiration from Jude Law’s portrayal in the Sherlock Holmes films, with some influence from Martin Freeman’s performance in Sherlock (BBC).

Note: British- London Accent required. Watson will be carrying a firearm and a sword. There will be a qualified armorer on set at all times with the weapons. Watson will be involved in a fight and a qualified stunt coordinator will be present on set.

Gender: Female

Helena is the loyal maid of Lord Ashworth. After falling under a vampire’s trance, she is caught in a disturbing loop—frantically preparing dinner for her master over and over while muttering incoherent, frenzied gibberish. Though kind at heart, the trance renders her both obedient and eerily deranged.

Note: Helena is of lower-class background, and this should be reflected in her accent (e.g., a working-class British accent such as Cockney or similar). Helena will be involved in a fight and a qualified stunt coordinator will be present on set.

Age: 25-45 years old

The Sergeant is a seasoned member of the police force with over 15 years of experience. Over time, they have worked closely with Sherlock Holmes. Although initially skeptical of Sherlock’s unconventional methods, they've grown to respect his brilliance after witnessing countless solved cases. Despite this respect, they still finds Sherlock’s behavior odd and prefers to keep their relationship strictly professional. They're practical, grounded, and represents the more traditional side of law enforcement.

Note: A British accent (London) is preferred.

Logline: Three siblings fight over the inheritance of their late-father's prized medical research, unaware that his trusted advisor is using their grief in an experiment of their own.

Age: 55- 70 years old

Gender: Male

Clean cut and smartly dressed. Retired from a career in law. Executor of the Herron estate. Grieving from the death of his long-time friend, Ralph feels the need to act strong for the three Herron children, but inside a storm is brewing; one of greed and desire to inherit Pierce’s most important asset – his research on neuromodulation. He has become cold-blooded and a little imperative.

Clean cut, quiet luxury. The eldest son of Pierce Herron. Academically and physically gifted, a true family heir in the

eyes of anyone but his own father. He is proud and a little arrogant, and he has tendencies to flare up and become

irrational. He is a good man who has been wounded by his upbringing. Behind the mask of arrogance/ confidence and a work-dominated life, Nicholas’ pride is deeply wounded by the neglect he felt from his father when he was growing up, and he feels that he doesn’t have a proper identity as the elder brother in his relationship with his siblings. He wants to be respected and acknowledged for his qualities.

Clean-cut, well dressed. The favored youngest son of the Herron family. Miles is well educated and enjoys academia. He is reserved and generally a gentle person, but he has a sharp side. He isn’t very sociable and feels lonely since the death of his father.He is defensive with his siblings; a mechanism he has used to protect himself from conflict.

Gender: Female

Tidy, astute. Well-educated and a great academic. Caroline usually keeps to herself but is not afraid to express her opinions and level with her brothers. She is temperate and often the mediator in situations with her siblings. She observes things from afar and doesn’t rush to immediate conclusions. Caroline wants to feel seen. She has always had it the hardest in her family and had to side with her siblings if she wanted some recognition.
